Although RPM already includes several ways for you to provide appended reports to your users, the new version will include yet another. Report Packager is part of the new destination dialog.

Report Packager allows your users to run as many reports as they like, in any order they wish, and then process the cumulative results as a single report, or in this case, a single package.

The user simply selects one of your reports and directs the output into a defined package. The package remains accessible until removed by the user and can be used over and over from different reports. It is similar to RPM's report archive, but with a different twist. And yes, once the user is satisfied with the results it can be archived!

Future enhancements to packaging will probably include support for OLE/COM processing of external documents such as Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, etc...
