Page Shuffle & Report Management

RPM provides an extensive set of templates to provide you with a multitude of options for appending, inserting and "shuffling" reports within your application.

Appending . . .

Several options are available for simple report appending including a template that allows you to select the reports desired.

This template supports running individual reports or multiple reports that are appended... in any order you or your users prefer. You simply pass the template a queue of report procedure names ordered as you want them processed. When completed you have a single report to preview, print or archive.

Inserting . . .

In addition to appending reports you can now insert a report into another report, anytime you want and anywhere you want. These inserted reports may even contain other inserted or appended reports. This opens the doors to many new possibilities.

Shuffling . . .

Report "shuffling" is another process that RPM has provided for many years. This process does have some limitations but under the right circumstances could prove useful.

Report shuffling is just like shuffling a deck of playing cards in that pages from one report and shuffled (interleaved) within another.

The only limit to this process is that all reports shuffled must have a one page to one page ratio to the other reports. Any report that fails this ratio will reject the entire report process.

Granted this is a strict limitation but given the need at least you know it's available. And with the power of basic appending and report insertion you may never really have a need for shuffling.
